THE DURON FAMILY BAND
Mario Duron
Vocals / Accordion / Keys
Biography
At 7 years of age, Mario began playing the guitar and the piano under the tutelage of his father, Antonio. His mom noticed he had a good voice and was singing all the time, so she told her husband to buy him a small accordion as well. Mario had the charisma of a true performer when he was on stage even as a young boy! In his early teens, he went to Pittsburgh and recorded his first record. When he returned to Michigan, he accompanied his dad on Spanish music with all the instruments until his father's death. As he got older, he enjoyed playing country music and rock-n-roll with various bands in the Grand Rapids area. Mario is still playing today but he especially loves playing gospel and sacred music at Calvary church for the glory of God as he has a true servant's heart.
