THE DURON FAMILY BAND
Jerry Duron
Vocals / Bass
Biography
At the age of 13, Jerry started playing the maracas and tambourine with the family band and soon after, added the drums. By the age of 25, he was in a rock group called the Badoogees with a bunch of guys from Holland, Michigan and later yet, he was in a group called The Blue Kingdom. Jerry later added the guitar to his repertoire and played it predominantly. By the early 70's, Jerry finally chose the bass guitar (and included singing) when his youngest brother Danny, brought him into a Polka band called The Hi-Notes and from there, the band, Warsaw. His last band was the Eastside Sound band which he enjoyed being in for many years. In full circle, Jerry is back playing with The Duron Family Band and is grateful to his father, Antonio Duron, for encouraging him and his siblings to pursue music.
